My Story
"Every frame should feel like it belongs in a film."
My wife Karina is a professional wedding photographer, and she's the one who pulled me in. What started as her husband tagging along to film Jackson Hole luxury weddings turned into something I couldn't put down. There's a craft to it: the way a wedding day unfolds, the light catching the mountains, the way a couple looks at each other right before the vows. I was hooked from the very first one.
The part I look forward to most? Launching the drone above a Teton ridgeline at golden hour while two people stand small against a sky that goes on forever. And then the ceremony: standing quietly at the back, listening to vows that took months to write. And then the end of the night, when nobody cares about being on camera anymore and the dance floor gets loud. Those three moments, every single wedding. That's why I do this.
Based in Idaho Falls, I've filmed weddings across the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, the hills of Sun Valley, the mountains of Bozeman, and as far as Alabama. Every location teaches me something new. Every couple reminds me why I started.
When I'm not behind a camera, I'm usually out running trails or on a mountain bike. My biggest passion outside of film is pole vaulting. I coach and own Teton Vault, a pole vault club here in East Idaho. Teaching athletes to clear a bar turns out to share a lot with filmmaking: patience, precision, and finding the exact right moment.
